(Studio) FDA (Food and Drug Administration) announces 10 prescription drugs for relief of cold symptoms will now be sold over counter.

(DC) FDA (Food and Drug Administration) advisory panel concludes study; recommendations noted. Head of panel acknowledges nothing can shorten duration of common cold. [Dr. Francis LOWELL - says no need to take any medicine.] Critics say move will bring windfall for drug industry and make more drugs not proven safe and effective available to consumer.
