(Plains, Georgia) Day's activities noted; Amy goes to school and late in day Carter walks to mother's home; talks to reporters [CARTER - says he was sad Monday to be leaving, feels better today; notes final preparations for Wednesday] Is asked about feelings with regard to Sorensen withdrawal. [CARTER - says he's sad about it.] Comments of press secretary Jody Powell with regard to inaugural address noted; Powell says Carter pulled together all suggestions and 1 draft by writer Patrick Anderson for final version.
