(Studio) West German jet hijacked on Thursday is now on ground in Persian Gulf state of Dubai; terrorists threaten to begin executing hostages if demands not met in 48 hrs. Demands noted, include release of colleagues in jail in West Germany and Turkey. (Film shown.) Bonn government withholds immediate response.

(Bonn, West Germany) Chancellor Helmut Schmidt convenes meeting of cabinet and security experts; later, government spokesperson links hijacking with earlier kidnapping of indust. Hanns Martin Schleyer. (Video tape of Schleyer shown.) Tape has just been released in Paris and was allegedly made by indust.'s abductors, as proof that he's still alive. Indications are that government is being forced to give in, with terrorists' threats to kill Schleyer and plane hostages on Sunday West Germany hasn't fared well in battle against terrorism throughout 1970's; details noted. 1972 Munich Olympic terrorist attack of Palestinians against Israeli athletes noted.
