(Studio) Comment on Carter attack on oil industry and industry response.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(DC) Comments of Franklin D. Roosevelt, Kennedy and Carter with regard to big business noted. Reasons that newest attack on big business, in form of oil industry, by Carter may not work listed; these aren't "trust busting" days of Theodore Roosevelt, nor Great Depression days of FDR. Reasons given why oil companies can't prove that new money would go for research and development, that profits reinvested would mean many new jobs in industry or that bigger profits needed to find new sources of oil and natural gas in US.
REPORTER: Eric Sevareid
