(Studio) Key defense witness in Miami murder trial, where defense of insanity by overexposure to television violence is being used, is dismissed without giving testimony; but 2 court-apptd. psychologists are allowed to testify today.

(Miami, Florida) Defense in trial of Ronnie Zamora is down to last and most important witness. Prominent Miami psychiatrist and neurologist, Dr. Michael Gilbert, is allowed to testify because he conducted tests on Zamora. [GILBERT - notes studies with regard to average child's viewing of television murders; says for cases like Zamora, so many television murders have been seen, that murder is of little consequence.] Another psychiatrist has given contrasting testimony. [Dr. Albert C. JASLOW - doesn't feel evidence he has shows that Zamora lacked awareness of actions during murder due to TV violence, but that it had perhaps helped blunt teenager's response to actions.] Actor Telly Savalas, who plays Zamora's television character hero, Kojak, won't appear despite being subpoenaed. Defense has admitted actor doesn't pass judge's test of relevancy. Closing arguments expected on Thursday
