(NYC) Details of career of commercial jingle composer Ginny Reddington given; is compared to Barry Manilow. (TV ad shown.) Reddington wrote one McDonald.'s jingle. [REDDINGTON - discusses importance of lyrics in jingles, rather than melody.] Other jingles by Reddington include Holiday Inns and National Airlines. (Gulf Oil Company, Johnson's Baby Powder and Hart Flea Collar television ads shown.) [REDDINGTON - talks about time it takes to write jingle and challenge involved.] Her present work on Colgate Toothpaste jingle noted.
