(Studio) Violent weather in nation today noted. Tornado kills 1 in Joplin, Missouri.

(Denver, Colorado) Winds on plains and in West cited. Strength of winds in Rocky Flats, Colorado, and El Paso, Texas, noted; same type of weather from Rocky Mts. to Texas. Dust storms in Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma noted. Cities further eastern to get taste of W. drought. [Geologist Troy PEWE - says due to dry soil, much of it will blow into cities causing more pollution problems.] Forecast is for more of same.
