(Studio) New 200 mile fishing limit in United States waters, now in effect, sharply cuts presence of foreign fishing vessels.
REPORTER: Roger Mudd

(No location given) Report on 1st day of limit. Drop in number of foreign vessels noted. Coast Guard reports only 1 warning issued today, to USSR ship. [Coast Guard commandant Admiral Owen SILER - says Coast Guard enforcement, especially at 1st, will be intensive.] Coast Guard expenditures for enforcement of new limit noted.
