(Studio) Teamsters president Frank Fitzsimmons and 3 others to resign as trustees of Teamsters Central States Pension Fund.
REPORTER: Morton Dean

(DC) Announcement comes from Labor Department which has threatened legal action with regard to Fitzsimmons position on fund board of trust as well as being union president 1 group, called Professional Over-the-Road Drivers (PROD), has pressed for resignation of all 10 trustees. [PROD spokesperson John SIKORSKY - says remaining trustees will be ruled by ones who have resigned because of union setup.] House Ways and Means Committee to hear testimony Monday from unhappy teamsters; some speak to reporters today. [David PRATER - says union not democratic.] [Robert BARNHISEL - says Fitzsimmons thinks he's dictator and can use money as he pleases.] Many say pressure will now start to force Fitzsimmons out of union presidency.
