(Studio) At Cairo meeting radical and moderate factions of Palestinian National Council split with regard to role of Palestinians in Mid. East peace talks.

(Cairo, Egypt) So far there's no change in PLO's position in order to make peace easier. Spokesperson say no change to come in charter calling for destruction of Israel; few delegates have spoken with regard to ties with Jordan's King Hussein; council rejects United Nations resolution, recognized by Israel and US, as basis for Geneva talks. Chairperson Yasir Arafat has to appease both radicals and moderates in organization and 1 way to do it in general debate is stay away from specifics.
