(Studio) Tel Aviv, Israel judge says Leah Rabin deserves compassion.

(Jerusalem, Israel) Report on trial of Prime Min. Yitzhak Rabin's wife on charges of holding foreign bank accounts. Sentencing noted. Rabin to go on vacation till after May elections; defense minister Shimon Peres to take over till then. Peres was selected by party to succeed Rabin. [PERES - respects Rabin's handling of matter.] Reaction of Israeli people has been sympathetic to Rabins.
