REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(DC) President has used public persuasion technique of FDR and JFK, and will now have to use private persuasion technique of LBJ to get energy program passed. Carter's approach in disarmament talks with USSR , human rights stand, spread of potential nuclear weapons material and energy plan noted. Reporter compares Carter somewhat to Woodrow Wilson and notes comment, re: President, of Washington, DC columnist Meg Greenfield.
