(Studio) Agriculture Department reports winter wheat crop better than expected.
REPORTER: Roger Mudd

(Kansas City, Missouri) Experts predict more wheat on hand than ever, with left-over from 2 previous big harvests; is good for consumer, bad for farmer. [Farmer Elvin DOMANN - says overproduction is main concern.] [Claude DOMANN - says they'll sell, but won't say anything about profit.] Commodity prices fall recently. Problem now is where to store wheat. [Kansas City Board of Trade spokesperson Rod TURNBULL - notes farmer doesn't get overtime for good harvest, but gets penalized.] Corn and soybeans expected to yield big crops also.
