(Studio) On 1st day of racing at Belmont Park in New York, parimutuel betting clerks' strike, and spill in one race, involving teen jockey, will be remembered.

(Belmont Park, Ny) Report on day at Belmont track and accident in one race involving Steve Cauthen, who was riding Bay Streak in this race. (Film shown.) Other riders and horses involved were Volney, with Velasquez riding, and Low Return, with Patrick Day riding. Velasquez and Cauthen taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital; injuries noted. Volney and Bay Streak had to be destroyed.
