(Studio) Major General John Singlaub recs. new duties after being called home by President Carter for criticism of policies in South Korea.

(DC) Singlaub to be chief of staff of United States Army Forces Command at Fort McPherson, Georgia; unit coordinates readiness training of combat units in US, AK, Hawaii and Guam. These would be 1st to be deployed in case of war; units include those at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Fort Riley, Kansas. Singlaub's move is lateral one, comparable to Korea command.
