(Long Beach, California) Alaska pipeline is engineering marvel. Where all oil to go is uncertainty. Standard of Ohio wants to take oil to Long Beach, California, and send it eastward through existing pipeline; problems with plan outlined. Till something else worked out, most Alaska oil to be shipped through Panama Canal up to Texas for Midwest mkts. [Standard Oil of Ohio Bob SCHAADT - 300,000-600,000 barrels of oil per day to move toward Panama Canal.]
