(Studio) House Assassination Committee names Cornell University law professor Robert Blakey as chief cnsl.; he's former chief cnsl. of Senate's McClellan Committee on Criminal Laws.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite
(DC) Committee approves Blakey and then, by special resolution, shuts off public information until probe of murders of Kennedy and King are complete. [Chairperson Louis STOKES - says committee will have open public presentation and until then no comment will be made.] [BLAKEY - says there'll be no more news conferences and hopes press will let committee work.] Criticism of committee noted.
