(Studio) John Mitchell and H.R. Haldeman are given date to begin Watergate coverup prison sentences by Judge John Sirica.
REPORTER: Roger Mudd

(DC) Report on hearing, which is formality, as Sirica has already set date. On entering, Haldeman promises statement later. [MITCHELL - tells reporters to get microphones away.] Hearing proceedings noted. Mitchell's destination not yet decided; Haldeman will go to Lompoc Prison in California. [HALDEMAN - is prepared to accept results of legal battle.] Mitchell won't comment, but has parting words. [MITCHELL - hopes no one gets killed out of this.] If Sirica won't reduce sentences, it will be Christmas, 1979, before they're out.

(Studio) Not likely Supreme Court will reconsider hearing appeals.
