(Studio) Hijackers seize bus in NYC, take passengers hostage, kill 2, wound others. Bus driven on runways at Kennedy Airport, stopping flight operations.
REPORTER: Dan Rather

(NYC) Hijack described. Occurred after bus left Port Authority in city. Passengers were en route to Hartford, Connecticut, and VT. Airport closed to air traffic for 90 mins. Hijackers threaten death of white hostages if tear gas used. Black hostages released. Demands noted. Released hostage says hijacker upset with regard to racial situation.
