Also mentioned is generation gap and its victims during era of Joe McCarthy, reverence of CIA covert activities to combat USSR intelligence and subversion and press coverage of such stories. People who were products of Great Depression and believed in Communism and those who revered CIA covert activities are now victims of generation gap; Lance is victim of geographical gap, and of faith in self.
