Columbia Pictures' report of earnings from movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" and report from astrophysics center in Cambridge, Massachusetts, with regard to number of UFO (Unidentified Flying Objects) reports it's gotten since film opened cited.

[HYNEK - says film may make people less afraid of ridicule if they report UFO.] President Carter's report of UFO (Unidentified Flying Objects) sighting, filed with International UFO (Unidentified Flying Objects) Bureau when he was governor of Georgia noted. [UFO (Unidentified Flying Objects) investigator Robert SHEAFFER - states findings on investigating Carter's report of sighting in rural Georgia.] Carter's description of object quoted, part of description transcribed on screen; he and others were waiting for Lion's Club meeting to begin at time of sighting.
