(Studio) Report on failure of negotiations in Florida bus company contract dispute.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(Jacksonville, Florida) Shutdown of Tamiami Trailways bus company reported [Bus driver Ken DOWLING - can't believe management on strike.] Inability of negotiators to agree on length of contract stated; calling in of fed. mediator noted. [Bus driver Doug. BURNETT - says public inconvenienced; states employees' willingness to work.] Uncertainty with regard to employees' rights to unemployment compensation, food stamps noted. [Shop steward David JONES - believes do qualify for compensation because they're not striking.] Bus company official statement with regard to hiring of temporary employees to operate buses reported.
