(W. Warwick, Rhode Island) Addition of words "the born and the unborn" to end of pledge of allegiance at Saint James School, Catholic elementary school in W. Warwick, Rhode Island, noted. Action reported to have come after school recd. letter from Ohio Catholic school as part of right-to-life or anti-abortion mvt. [Saint James principal, Sister MARY JANE, R. S.M. - says this is one way they can object to abortions in quiet, subtle way. Believes children understand these added words better than they do rest of words in pledge.] School's answer to parents objecting to addition stated.
