(Studio) Nixon goes to Mississippi for ceremony honoring Senator John Stennis and to fly over flooded Mississippi delta.
REPORTER: Howard K. Smith
(Meridian, Mississippi) Stennis and Nixon survey flooded areas. [STENNIS - points out flooded areas to Nixon.] Nixon declares Arkansas and Louisiana disaster areas. Mississippi, Missouri and Illinois already so declared. [NIXON - tells crowd at ceremony in Meridian that United States must lead world toward peace and freedom.]
