(Studio) President Sadat's stop in Morocco for visit with King Hassan prior to coming to United States to meet with President Carter at Camp David with regard to Mideast peace efforts reported Film shown.

(Cairo, Egypt) [SADAT - says 70% of Arab-Israeli problem is psychological.] Egyptian President's statements with regard to instigation of 1973 war, to remove Egyptians' shame for defeat of 1967 war and clear way for peace initiative. [SADAT - states reasons 1973 war started. Says he couldn't have made peace initiatives under humiliation.] Films shown. Description given of some speculative reasons behind Sadat's trip to Jerusalem and of his feelings with regard to emotions involved in negotiations.

[CARTER - describes feelings for Sadat and notes Sadat's reference to Jews' and Egyptians' common heritage as descendants from Abraham and worship of same God, made each time they talk. Cites confidence that peace can come.] Report on hard-line Arab leaders' meeting in Algiers; in attendance are representatives of Syria, Libya, South Yemen, Algeria and PLO. Iraq's absence noted; film shown. Update on situation with poisoning of Israeli oranges given; discovery in Netherlands and West Germany of some poisoned oranges from Spain and Dutch health minister's comment with regard to this in relationship to Palestinian group's claim of responsibility cited. Statement of major North American importer of Israeli oranges re: shipments to United States and Canada noted.
