(Studio) Winter snowstorms in northe., Chicago, and in Wisconsin and Oklahoma noted. Mudslides and flooding from rains in north California reported Closure of Anchorage, AK, schools due to snow for 1st time in 14 years mentioned. Temps. in Georgia and for Mardi Gras participants cited.

(NYC) Conditions in Boston, where National Guard has been called out, described. [Governor Michael DUKAKIS - tells people to remain in homes.] [Some video difficulty.] Partial blackout in Boston mentioned. Connecticut Governor Ella Grasso's orders with regard to closings in Connecticut listed; closure of Hartford's Bradley Field airport stated. [Kathy BRANDEN - reports rescheduling of flight; this is her 1st flight.] Conditions in Rhode Island, Harrisburg and elsewhere in Pennsylvania and in New York City noted. [Stuart PACHECO - has no money, is unemployed and not on welfare with new baby, so will shovel snow to make money.]
