(DC) Assessment of White House pressure for passage of treaty and likelihood of passage as made by treaty opponent Senator Ted Stevens reported [STEVENS - Predicts 67-33 vote on treaty, to pass it.] Plan by Senators Nunn and Talmadge to add provision to deal with United States military bases after 2000 noted. [NUNN - describes amendment.] Remaining questions in issue outlined.
