(Studio) Israel's notification of United Nations that it will begin partial withdrawal in s. Lebanon reported New controversy over United States weapons used in Israeli invasion noted.

(DC) Israel's claim not to have used American CBU's or cluster bombs in invasion noted; film taken by CBS camera crew recently in south Lebanon giving evidence of these bombs shown. Statements of Senator James Abourezk and others in Congress that this proves Israel in violation of 1952 arms sales agreement cited. Secretary of State Vance's testimony on situation to House International Relations Committee stated. Has been learned that some Arab groups in US consider filing lawsuits to force embargo on United States arms sales to Israel.
