(Studio) Oil spill caused by grounded tanker Amoco Cadiz off coast of France 2 mos. ago recalled.

(Brittany Coast, France) French efforts to give navy authority to attempt prevention of such oil spill occurring again off Brittany and near impossibility of task for navy examined. United Nations Maritime Safety Committee's acceptance of French proposal prohibiting tankers from coming close to Brittany coast and French navy's lack in radar monitoring equipment noted. [Brittany naval district Rear Admiral Emile CHALINE - thinks no navy in world has means to prevent another disaster; cites reasons.] Contd. damage to Brittany beaches by oil from Amoco Cadiz being washed up on shore and continued cleanup efforts reported.
