(Studio) Report on American involvement in Laos.
REPORTER: Frank Reynolds
(Samthong, Laos) Laos divided into 5 military regions. Captured Communist weapons shown. Laos forces accepted surrender of some North Vietnam and Pathet Lao troops. General Vang Pao says fighting war alone and men don't have American M-16 rifles. Film shows soldiers do have M-16s. More Americans there than claimed. Pathet Lao prisoners claim surrendered mainly due to United States bombings. General says his planes only 1s doing bombing. Probably lies at American insistence.
