(Studio) House preparations for fight with Senator over abortion funds reported Long battle over issue last year recalled.

(DC) Details given about floor debate and House votes on versions of bill. Audio tape played. [Representative Henry HYDE - says grass and animals have more protection under law, since Supreme Court ruling, than unborn human life.] [Representative Louis STOKES - responds to Hyde's statements. Says issue with regard to poor women and their right to same thing others who can afford it have.] [Representative Gladys SPELLMAN - states opposition to abortion, but asks for poor women no less than she'd ask for own daughter or grandchild.] Senator's traditional liberal position on abortion funds and last year's 6-mo. battle over issue mentioned.
