[Representative Henry HYDE - says grass and animals have more protection under law, since Supreme Court ruling, than unborn human life.] [Representative Louis STOKES - responds to Hyde's statements. Says issue with regard to poor women and their right to same thing others who can afford it have.] [Representative Gladys SPELLMAN - states opposition to abortion, but asks for poor women no less than she'd ask for own daughter or grandchild.] Senator's traditional liberal position on abortion funds and last year's 6-mo. battle over issue mentioned.
