(Studio) Report on protest against Federal Aviation Administration regulation by blind persons in DC.
REPORTER: Roger Mudd
(DC) Federal Aviation Administration rule requiring that blind persons' canes be stored during takeoff and landing of planes stated. National Federal of the Blind lawsuit chging. that rule is discriminatory noted. United Air Lines' refusal to seat some en route to National Federal conv., because they refused to give up canes, mentioned. [National Federal president Ralph SANDERS - says FAA, federal government and United won't be allowed to decide what is best for blind persons.] FAA statement given.
