(Carlton Cnty., Minnesota) Details given about retired dairy farmer Gordon Bushnell's singe-handed efforts to build straight highway between Duluth, Minnesota, and Fargo, North Dakota. Bushnell's efforts outlined and problems he's faced noted; use of shovel, wheelbarrow and old John Deere tractor stated. [BUSHNELL - discusses building road. Was due to have gall bladder operation and began feeling better while working on road; hasn't had operation yet. Talks about reactions to project and own feelings about seeing what he's accomplished.]
