(NYC) Texaco tape shown. Details about natural gas wells found in ocean e. of Atlantic City, New Jersey, given. [Texaco spokesperson Richard PALMER - thinks this is encouraging as 1st sign of natural gas reservoir off eastern coast.] Oil analysts' view of find as hopeful not only for Baltimore Canyon area, but for future finds off coasts of New England and Georgia. Potential effect of discovery of economy and on United States dollar values stated.

(Studio) United States Geological Survey estimates of amount of oil and natural gas off US coasts noted. Scientists' search for use of seawater for energy source and Energy Department announcement of major development reported.
