(West Point, California) Details given about Canadian gold miner Al Farrell's use of modern techniques to find gold in old Blazing Star shaft in area of Sierra Nevada Mt. mined by 49'ers. [FARRELL - discusses operation.] Discovery of good ore zone with true gold vein in old mine noted. [Geologist Tom TOUGH - says mine appears to have long life.] Discovery in Blazing Star of copper, silver and tungsten also reported.
