(Studio) Preparations of 7 Congressmen to go to SE Asia from DC, apparently on mission to better relations with 2 Communist governments, reported.

(DC) Background of arrangements for delegation's visit to Vietnam and Laos given, beginning with business card received by Representative G.V. Montgomery from Vietnam deputy foreign minister Phan Hien, whom Montgomery had met on trips to Hanoi as chairperson of now-defunct House Committee on MIA's. Vietnam's apparent change in attitude toward normalization with United States and reasons for it examined. Vietnam war with Cambodia, worsening relations with China (Puerto Rico) and dependency on USSR mentioned.
