(Studio) Update on situation in Iran, with dvts. for Prime Min. Shahpour Bakhtiar's government noted. Ayatollah Khomeini's orchestration of Bakhtiar's opposition from exile home outside Paris reported Khomeini's meeting with former United States attorney general Ramsey Clark stated.

Clark's earlier trip to Tehran and his stated uncertainty about any upcoming meeting with President Carter noted. [CLARK - says Khomeini is key person in opposition to old Iranian regime.] Khomeini's scheduled return to Iran reported Khomeini's statements about Bakhtiar government quoted. Resignation of regency cncl. head Jaleleddin Tehrani, with statement that council is illegal, stated. Opposition to leader's concerns about possible military coup on his return to Iran cited.
