(Huron, SD) [Residents Anne SHERIDAN, Don THOMPSON - criticize work.] Piece called "Hoedown." September 8, 1979, tape of folk singer shown. Art said considered major example of government waste. Hoedown protest result said causing anger. [Resident Clifford ROTH - chgs. invasion of freedom.] Congress subcommittee said now refusing to pay for similar projects. Meeting to discuss sculpture shown. [Sculptor Guy DILL - comments.] Irony of situation noted.
