(Lansing, Michigan) Hooker Chemical Company's production of C56, one of most dangerous compounds known, at Montague, Michigan, plant and disposal of its waste in open-air stkpiles. recalled; films shown. Seepage of compounds, 8 of which are known to cause cancer, into surrounding environment noted. [Michigan attorney general Frank KELLEY - announces out-of-court settlement; gives details.] [Hooker spokesperson Donald BAEDER - says settlement is warranted.] Hooker said still facing possible federal chgs.
