(Studio) Rhodesian officials' comments on retribution against black guerrillas for downing of airliner near Kariba quoted. Possible plans for Rhodesian strike against Zambia guerrilla bases noted.

(Salisbury, Rhodesia) Details about crash given; report from pilot flying nearby of 2 missiles being fired at plane detailed. Earlier similar incident recalled. Both downed planes noted to have been en route from Kariba to Salisbury. Patriotic Front leader Joshua Nkomo's claim that mission was attempt to kill Rhodesian security force commander, Lieutenant General Peter Walls, stated; failure of guerrillas, due to Walls' taking another flight, reported [WOMEN - state reaction.] Potential effects on Rhodesia described.
