(Studio) Report on outcome of President Carter's talks in Mexico with President Jose Lopez Portillo.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(Mexico City, Mexico) Better attitude between leaders at last meeting in morning described. Talks noted to end without specific agreements. Carter's address to Mexican congress in Spanish reported [CARTER - (thru interpreter and in English) reports on discussions with regard to trade, energy and migration and agreements for further studies and talks on issues.] Lopez Portillo's news conference mentioned. Agreement that negotiations with regard to US purchase of Mexican natural gas will reopen stated; other talks said planned with regard to illegal aliens. Mrs. Lopez Portillo mentioned.
