(Studio) 4th attack by Rhodesian fighters on guerrilla bases in Mozambique reported United States and Britain's call for United Nations supervised elections in Rhodesia noted.

(DC) State Department fears that April 20th elections will polarize Rhodesian factions opening opportunity for USSR or Cuban involvement. [Secretary of State Cyrus VANCE - requests both sides allow United Nations supervision of elections.] Stated that administration officials are apprehensive about Senator resolution to send American observers to watch the Rhodesian elections. [Senator George McGOVERN - describes intention of resolution.]
