(Studio) Possibility of oil slick from Mexican well blowout reaching United States coast soon noted.

(Brownsville, Texas) Proximity of slick to United States border at present noted; films shown. Mexican government reported granting permission for United States Coast Guard to assist at well site with regard to stopping blowout; details given. Coast Guard said closing Brownsville ship channel as preventive measure re: vulnerability of inland waterways to slick. Padre Island, Texas, tourist industry considered.
