(Hollywood, California) [MAN - asks if John Travolta has sent check yet.] Resistance to Governor Jerry Brown's appointed of Fonda to state arts council due to actress's 1972 trip to Hanoi examined; films shown. Brown and Fonda said appearing before arts council to denounce California Senator's action. [FONDA - hopes Senator's action won't deter arts and film industry from spking. out; mentions McCarthyism.] State Senator Paul Carpenter's conditions of support for Fonda's appointed listed. [CARPENTER - comments.] [FONDA - says apology is due to all Vietnam war vets by those who sent them.] Future of controversy considered.
