(Studio) AFL-CIO said endorsing new economic policy by President Carter.
REPORTER: Walter Cronkite

(DC) Agreement between Carter administration and AFL-CIO with regard to new wage guideline and econ. policy accord detailed. [CARTER - comments.] Secretary treasurer Lane Kirkland noted saying that program endorsement doesn't mean endorsement of Carter for reelec. [KIRKLAND - says they were prepared to negotiate on same basis last year] Teamsters and UAW (United Automobile, Aerospace and Agricultural Implement Workers of America) said probably endorsing accord as well; changes in price guideline reported Alfred Kahn quoted.
