(Studio) Federal grand jury and federal prosecutor reported clearing White House chief of staff Hamilton Jordan of drug-use chgs.

(DC) Special prosecutor Arthur Christy's final report on allegations quoted on screen; background to chgs. involving Jordan's alleged use of cocaine at Studio 54 and at California parties recalled. Jordan and President Carter's responses to today's announcement quoted on screen. Personal cost to Jordan, notedly legal bills, cited; Carter's action today upon hearing news mentioned.
