REPORTER: Howard K. Smith
(Elizabethton, Tennessee) Senate Watergate committee vice. chairperson Howard Baker samples hometown public opinion with regard to Watergate affair. Citizens react to hearings. Baker sympathizes with supporters' feelings, but insists hearings be completed. [BAKER - says citizens don't want to continue rehashing Watergate.]
