(Studio) Small child in Houston, Texas, must remain isolated because of rare disease.
REPORTER: Howard K. Smith
(Houston, Texas) David, 21 mos. old, lives in aseptic bubble David lacks 2 immunities needed to fight off infection; contact with outside world would kill him. [Dr. Rafael WILSON - says he designed bubble for David. Since isolated from birth, David to be ready for any treatment discovered.] Experiments continue on white mice to develop immunities. David lives normal life inside bubble.
