(Santiago, Chile) Allende's political and economy problems with Chile discussed incling. strikes, inflation, riots. Allende conceded to military to ward off civil war and military coup earlier in year to no avail.

(Studio) State Department has no immediate comment with regard to Chile coup. All Americans in Santiago reported safe.
