(DC) Lefever shown. Senator Jacob Javits said named spec. adviser to Secretary State Alexander Haig. Charles Percy and Jesse Helms said at odds with administration Percy said opposed to Lefever and Helms opposed to Chester Crocker as assistant secretary state for African affairs. [State Department spokesperson Dean FISCHER - says executive branch has privilege of nomination officials it wants.] Helms, nomination as Crocker's deputy, said meeting with Crocker.
